DILG, ikinatuwa ang pagsuporta ng LGUs sa inilunsad na Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa)

Malugod na pinasalamatan ni DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos ang local government units (LGUs) na nakibahagi sa inilunsad na cleanup drive program kahapon.

Sa isinagawang Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa)sa Metro Manila, sabay-sabay na nilinis ng mga volunteer at kawani ng gobyerno ang 10 estero sa lungsod ng Maynila, ilang sapa sa Quezon City, Las Piñas, at Caloocan City; Pasay City, Taguig City at Mandaluyong City gayundin ang ilog sa San Juan City at Estero de Tripa de Gallina.

Sabay-sabay ding isinagawa ang mga aktibidad ng BarKaDa sa Ilocos Norte, Dinagat Islands, Iloilo City, Pangasinan at Antique.

Una nang nanawagan si Secretary Abalos sa 42,00 barangay sa Pilipinas para suportahan ang BarKaDa program.

Ang BarKaDa ay isang nationwide community-based cleanup drive program na nakatuon para mapanatili ang malusog at ligtas na kapaligiran

Umaasa ang kalihim na magtuloy-tuloy na ang lingguhang cleanup drive at maging tunay na BarKada para sa mas malinis at ligtas na pamayanan. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
