DSWD Sec. Gatchalian, namahagi ng bigas sa libu-libong residente ng Bulacan

Patuloy pa rin ang pamamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng libreng bigas sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipino.

Ngayong araw, pinangunahan ni DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian ang distribusyon ng tig-25 kilo ng premium na bigas sa lalawigan ng Bulacan.

Kabilang sa nakinabang rito ang 2,000 residente mula sa Calumpit at Paombong, Bulacan.

Ang ipinamamahaging bigas ay donasyon ng Bureau of Customs sa DSWD na mula sa mga nakumpiska sa Port of Zamboanga (BOC-POZ) noong Mayo.

Alinsunod ito sa direktiba ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. na maibigay ang mga bigas sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipino.

Una nang sinabi ng DSWD na target nitong palawakin pa ang distribusyon ng bigas hanggang maabot ang higit 42,000 ring pinakamahihirap na pamilya. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
