Uumpisahan na ng National Housing Authority (NHA) ang pagpapatayo ng Cabaluay Township sa Sitio Catumbal, Brgy. Cabaluay, Zamboanga City.
Ayon kay NHA General Manager Joeben Tai, ang housing project ay para sa mga sundalo, pulis, bumbero, jail personnel, Coast Guard, OFWs at informal Settler families na miyembro ng PAG-IBIG Fund.
Sa ilalim ng Government Employees Housing Program (GEHP) ng NHA, kabuuang 28 three-story buildings na may 336 housing units ang itatayo sa lugar.
Kasama sa proyekto ang community facilities tulad ng parking lots, material recovery facilities, parks, playground, covered court, police outpost, daycare, at health center.
Sa pamamagitan ng Build Better and More Housing Program ng NHA, suportado nito ang layunin ng Bagong Pilipinas ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na mabigyan ng maayos na tahanan ang mga marginalized sector sa komunidad. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
