Maging Mapanuri Conference ng PCO, matagumpay na nailunsad sa Makati City

Pinangunahan ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ang isang conference sa Makati City na naglalayong palakasin ang pagsugpo ng Misinformation, Disinformation at Fake News.

Sa pamamagitan ng Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Maging Mapanuri conference, ipinaliwanag dito ang kahalagahan ng pagbabahagi ng tamang impormasyon. Sa tulong ng mga dumalo mula sa iba’t ibang sektor tulad ng media, edukasyon, tech industry, civil society at ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan, mas mapapalakas ang nasabing adbokasiya.

Ayon kay PCO Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil, layon ng pagpupulong na ito ang mas mapalakas pa ang mga mahahalagang kontribusyon ng private at public sectors sa pagsusulong ng MIL.

Kabilang sa mga naging tagapagsalita sa nasabing conference sina Ivan Mayrina ng GMA 7, Atty. Yves Gonzales ng Google, Atty. Toff Rada ng Tiktok, Katherine Jane Nagpala ng UNACOM, Monrawee Ampolpittayanant ng X Southeast Asia, Richelle-Sy Kho ng PAMIL, Melinda Tormes-Quinones ng MIL for ASEAN Network at si PCO Undersecretary for Digital Media Services Emerald Ridao.

Pinasalamatan ng kalihim ang mga naging katuwang nito sa MIL mula sa mga governemnt agencies tulad ng Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Social Welfare and Development, at ang Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Nanawagan din si Velicaria-Garafil sa lahat ng dumalo at maging ang publiko na seryosohin at isulong ang tamang pagbabahagi ng mga impormasyon mapa-social media man ito o hindi.
