Joint session ng Kongreso para kay Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, all systems go na – SP Zubiri

Handa na ang lahat para sa gagawing joint session ng Kongreso sa Sabado para sa pagdating ni Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.

Ayon kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, ang pagbisitang ito ni Kishida ay inaasahang makapagpapatatag ng kooperasyon sa pagitan ng Japan at Pilipinas.

Sinabi ng Senate President, na ang Japan ay isang matatag na trading partner at security ally, maaasahan tuwing panahon ng kalamidad, at mamumuhunan sa pag-unlad ng Pilipinas.

Sa Sabado ng alas-9 ng umaga, magkahiwalay na magpapasa ng dalawang resolusyon ang Senado at Kamara.

Ang isa para sa imbitasyon kay Prime Minister Kishida at ang isa ay para i-convene ang joint session.

Pagsapit naman ng 11 AM ay magkakaroon ng talumpati si Kishida sa Batasang Pambansa Complex.

Ang pagbisitang ito ay resulta ng imbitasyon ni Zubiri kay Kishida noong bumisita ang Philippine Senate delegation sa Tokyo noong April 2023.

Ibinahagi rin ni Zubiri, na 17 mga senador ang inaasahang makikiisa sa gagawing joint session sa Sabado. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
