Nagkaisa ang mga mambabatas para pagtibayin ang House Resoluton 1414 o resolusyon para panindigan ang integridad at dangal ng Kamara at ihayag ang pagsuporta sa liderato ni Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Sa ilalim ng resolusyon, nagkaisa ang Kamara para depensahan ang institusyon laban sa mga walang basehang kritisismo at mga pag-atake.
Ayon kay House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe, naniniwala ang mayorya ng mga mambabatas na kung ipagpapatuloy nila ang pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ay mas magiging epektibo ang Kamara sa pagtugon sa mga kinahaharap na hamon ng mga bansa
“The encompassing majority believes that if we continue to work together, the House of Representatives could more effectively alleviate poverty, build on a stronger future ahead, and compete on efficiencies through laws, measures, and policies that strengthen our republic, and address the most pressing issues confronting us today. The majority believes that this chamber could achieve all these and many more, under the thriving and inspirational leadership of Speaker Romualdez,” saad ni Dalipe sa pag-sponsor ng HR 1414.
Kabilang sa nagpahayag ng suporta sa resolusyon sina Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr. (Pampanga) at Deputy Speakers Ralph Recto (Batangas), Camille Villar, Duke Frasco (Cebu), Roberto Puno (Antipolo City), Kristine Singson-Meehan (Ilocos Sur), at Raymond Democrito Mendoza (TUCP).
Kasama rin sa House leaders na lumagda at sumuporta sa resoluyson ang mga opisyal at kinatawan ng political parties na sina Zaldy Co (Ako Bicol), Robert Ace Barbers (Surigao del Norte), Toby M. Tiangco (Navotas), Angelica Natasha Co (BHW), Brian Raymund S. Yamsuan (Bicol Saro), LRay Villafuerte (Camarines Sur), Albert S. Garcia (Bataan), Johnny Pimentel (Surigao del Sur), Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo (Camiguin), Michael John R. Duavit (Rizal), Wilfrido Mark M. Enverga (Quezon),at Jose “Joboy” S. Aquino II (Agusan del Norte).
Nagpahayag din ng suporta sina Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan (4Ps), Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos (Ilocos Norte), Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez (TINGOG), Jude Acidre (TINGOG), at Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tuldo (ACT-CIS).
Bagama’t kinikilala ng Kamara na bahagi ng demokrasya ang kritisismo, hindi umano kasama dito ang mga mapanirang pahayag.
“The House has always taken criticisms as part and parcel of a healthy, vibrant, and working democracy, but it takes exception to statements made that undermine the independence, integrity, and reputation of the institution, more so when these statements are couched with threats or insinuations of physical harm to a sitting Member of Congress;” sabi sa resolusyon.
Mananatili rin anila ang pagsusulong ng Kamara sa pagkakaisa para sa ikabubuti ng bansa.
Kaya naman sa mga panahon anila na may banta sa institusyon ay marapat na sila ay magsama-sama para suportahan ang House leader at tumayo laban sa sinomang indibidwal o grupo na layong i-destabilize ang democratic institution.
