Ipinag-utos na ni Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian

na tulungan ang mahigit 300 pamilyang nasunugan sa Davao City.

Binigyan ng direktiba ni Gatchalian ang DSWD Field Office-11 sa Davao Region na makipag-ugnayan sa Davao City Local Government para sa probisyon ng resource augmentation.

Layunin nitong matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga apektadong pamilya.

Base sa initial report ng Field Office-11, abot sa 357 pamilya o 1,428 indibidwal ang naapektuhan ng sunog sa Purok San Vicente, Barangay Leon Garcia sa nasabing lungsod.

Ayon kay DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, mayroon pang mahigit P86 million halaga ng stockpiles ng relief supplies at standby funds ang DSWD Davao Regional office na handang magamit sa disaster operations. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
