Kahandaan ng kapulisan sa mga posibleng banta sa Dinagyang Festival, sinubok

Sinubok ang kahandaan ng kapulisan sa Dinagyang Festival 2024 sa isinagawang Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) sa Iloilo Freedom Grandstand.

Layon ng SIMEX na masubok ang response time, capability at contingency plan ng kapulisan sa iba’t ibang insidente na posibleng mangyari sa pagdiriwang ng Dinagyang Festival 2024.

Sa SIMEX, bombing incident na nagresulta sa stampede ang scenario.

Ayon kay Iloilo City Police Office Chief of Operations Police Lieutenat Colonel Rene Obregon, malaking tulong ang SIMEX sa pagpapatupad ng seguridad dahil dito makikita ang mga bagay na dapat pang mapagbuti ng kapulisan sa pagresponde sa insidente.

Para ma-improve pa ng kapulisan ang pagresponde, may Red Team ang Police Regional Office na naka-supervise sa SIMEX.

Mahigit kumulang 2,000 PNP personnel ang nakabantay sa buong syudad sa selebrasyon ng Dinagyang Festival, ngayong weekend.
