DFA, wala pang nakukuhang request mula sa mga Pilipino na nais magpa-repatriate sa Israel at Iran kasunod ng missile attack

Siniguro ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Eduardo De Vega, na nakahanda ang iba’t ibang Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Middle East para ipatupad ang kanilang contingency plans sakaling lumala ang sitwasyon doon.

Sa harap ito ng ipinatawag na briefing ng House Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs, upang alamin ang kahandaan ng bansa para tulungan ang mga OFW sa Middle East sakaling mauwi sa giyera ang sigalot doon.

Matatandaan na nagpakawala ang Iran ng nasa 300 rocket laban sa Israel.

Ayon pa kay DFA Asec. Roberto Ferrer, kada embahada sa middle east may kaniya-kaniyang contingency plan na nakahanda lalo at hindi naman na bago ang krisis sa middle east.

Gayunman, wala pang natatanggap na emergency repatriation ang DFA mula sa Tel Aviv sa Israel at kahit sa Tehran sa Iran dahil sa takot sa gulo.

Nilinaw naman ni Department of Migrant Workers Officer in Charge Hans Leo Cacdac, na may 50 OFWs mula Israel ang nakatakdang umuwi sa Pilipinas sa Mayo na dati nang humingi ng tulong para sa repatriation.

Nagsagawa naman na aniya ng briefing ang pamahalaan sa OFW community sa Israel upang muling ipaliwanag ang contingency plan sakali na lumala ang sitwasyon.
