Meralco, siniguro ang karagdagang supply ng kuryente kasunod ng pagtaas ng Red Alert sa Luzon Grid

Bilang tugon sa deklarasyon ng Red Alert Status ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) sa Luzon Grid.

Nakikipag-ugnayan ang Manila Electric Company (Meralco) sa mga kalahok ng Interruptible Load Program na sakop ng kanilang prangkisa para makatulong na mapagaan ang demand sa kuryente.

Sa abiso ng Meralco nitong alas-12 ng tanghali, ngayong araw (April 18), mahigit 400 megawatts (MW) ang available de-loading capacity ang na-secure na ng Meralco mula sa kanilang commercial at industrial customers.

Tiniyak naman ng Meralco na patuloy nitong mino-monitor ang sitwasyon sa kuryente.
