Pagpapalawak ng Pasig River Ferry Service, pinag-aaralan na

Pinag-aaralan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang pagpapalawak ng Pasig River Ferry Service sa Laguna de Bay at Manila Bay.

Ang mga proyektong ito ay bilang tugon sa Executive Order No. 35 ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na may layuning buhayin muli ang ganda at sigla ng Ilog Pasig, para sa transportasyon at turismo.

Malaki ang naging pakinabang aniya ng mga mananakay sa Metro Manila sa Pasig River Ferry Service bilang alternatibong transportasyon.

Sa datos ng MMDA noong 2022, umabot sa 170,902 pasahero ang naserbisyuhan ng PRFS. Tumaas pa ang ridership nito noong nakaraang taon na umabot sa 254,333.

Habang ngayong 2024, ay nasa 46,497 katao ang libreng naisakay ng Pasig Ferry simula Enero hanggang Marso ngayong taon. | ulat ni Lorenz Tanjoco
