Hihintayin pa ng House Committee on Ethics ang pormal na reklamo laban kay dating House Speaker at ngayon ay Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez, bago makapagsimula ng imbestigasyon.

Ito’y bunsod pa rin ng panawagan ng ilan sa mga mambabatas na isalang sa ethics committee si Alvarez, dahil sa kaniyang panawagan sa militar na bawiin ang suporta kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na maituturing na seditious.

Ayon kay COOP-NATCO Party-list Rep. Felimon Espares, Chair ng Komite, kaiba ito sa sitwasyon ni dating Negros Oriental Rep. Arnie Teves.
