Nakatutok ang Marcos Administration sa pagpapatupad ng mga inisyatiba na mas magpapaganda sa ibinibigay na serbisyo sa mga turistang bumibisita sa Pilipinas.
“Ang ambisyon natin doon one million tourists. That was the ambition. One million tourists can come back. And then kasama na doon ‘yung mga overseas Filipinos. Kaya nagkaroon ng balikbayan box dahil hindi binubuwisan,” —Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Sa inagurasyon ng tourist rest area (TRA) sa Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte (May 17), sinabi ng Pangulo na hindi lamang dapat na magagandang tanawin, magagandang hotel, at magagandang resort ang isaalang-alang upang mahilkayat ang mga turista.
Kilangan aniyang bigyang pansin rin ang maganda at mabilis ang serbisyo, maging ang access sa mga tourist destination.
“Now, we are targeting 10 times that. And we have started to approach that but there are many aspects to tourism. It’s not just the beautiful beach. It’s not just the beautiful rest house or the nice hotels and the resorts that they stay in,” he pointed out.” —Pangulong Marcos
Ito naman aniya ang dahilan kung bakit nakatutok ang pamahalaan sa pagpapabuti ng mga regional airport, upang mapadali ang pagbiyahe ng mga turista.
