CAAP, humingi ng pasensya sa nangyaring delayed flights kahapon sa NAIA

Humingi ng paumanhin ang pamunuan ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) sa mga pasaherong naapektuhan ng nangyaring aberya sa software ng flight management system nito. 

Ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng CAAP, nais nilang bigyang prayoridad ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga pasahero dahilan kaya kahit gumagana naman ang communication, navigation, at surveillance equipment na gamit sa air traffic operations ay minabuti nilang mag-shift sa manual operations, bilang contingency procedures. 

Dito sa puntong ito, ayon sa CAAP, nagkaroon ng mas mahabang pagitan sa bawat flights na nagresulta sa 38 domestic flights at 21 international flights na delayed, at 3 cancelled flights. 

Umaasa ang CAAP na maiiwasan na sa mga susunod na panahon ang kaparehong insidente matapos ang on-going update sa kanilang sistema.   | ulat ni Lorenz Tanjoco
