DSWD, nakahanda na sa pagdating ng Bagyong Aghon

Inatasan na ni Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian ang lahat ng tanggapan ng DSWD na maaaring maapektuhan ng Bagyong Aghon na suriin ang kanilang mga imbentaryo ng family food packs (FFPs) bilang paghahanda sa paparating na bagyo.

Partikular na binigyang direktiba ni Secretary Gatchalian ang mga Field Offices sa Eastern Visayas, Bicol, at Caraga, na mga rehiyon na posibleng maapektuhan ng Bagyong Aghon.

Ayon naman kay Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, nakapaglagak na ang DSWD ng mahigit Php189 milyon halaga ng food packs sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

Mayroon ding mahigit 199,000 kahon ng family food packs na nakalagak sa National Resource Operations Center (NROC) sa Pasay City at 60,237 family food packs sa Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) sa Cebu City.
