Kauna-unahang aplikante sa amnestiya ng Pangulo, nagsumite ng aplikasyon sa Cotabatao

Tinanggap ng Local Amnesty Board (LAB) ng Cotabato ang kauna-unahang aplikasyon para sa Amnestiya ng Pangulo sa mga dating rebelde nitong Martes.

Ito ang inanunsyo ng National Amnesty Commission sa isang kalatas na ipinamahagi ng Office of the Presidential Adviser for Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU).

Ang aplikante, na isang aktibong miyembro ng Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) at may nakabinbing kaso na Illegal Possession of Firearms, ay ni-represent ng kanyang babaeng anak sa pag-apply.

Ayon sa anak, hindi personal na nakaharap sa LAB ang kanyang ama dahil sa maselang kondisyong pangkalusugan, at inaasahan nila na hindi makukulong ang kanyang ama dahil sa amnestiya.

Hinikayat naman ng National Amnesty Commission ang lahat ng kwalipikado sa amnestiya na magtungo lang sa LAB na malapit sa kani-kanilang mga lugar. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
