Para kay Assistant Majority Leader La Union 1st District Rep. Paolo Ortega ang pagbaba sa rice tariff at isang proactive measurena kapwa pakikinabangan ng mga consumer at ng sektor ng agrikultura.
‘By lowering the cost of rice, we are ensuring that every Filipino has access to this staple food at a reasonable price. This is a step in the right direction towards achieving food security,” wika ni Ortega
Sa panig naman ni Davao Oriental 2nd District Rep. Cheeno Almario sinabi nito na ipinapakita lamang ng administrasyon ang pagnanais nito na mapagbuti ang pamumuhay ng mga ordinaryong Pilipino.
Napapanahon aniya ang desisyon ng Pangulo para mamagitan at tugunan ang sitwasyon ng bigas sa bansa.
