Nakumpleto ng mga tropa ng 513th Engineer Construction Battalion ng 51st Engineer Brigade ng Philippine Army at US Army ang konstruksyon ng isang multi-purpose Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) warehouse sa Batanes.

Ayon kay Philippine Army Spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala, ang warehouse sa Itbayat, Batanes ay nai-turn over na sa lokal na pamahalaan noong Hunyo 17.

Sinabi ni Dema-ala na ang bodega ay sadyang itinayo para suportahan ang kapabilidad ng lokal na pamahalaan na tumugon sa mga sakuna sa pamamagitan ng pagsisilbi bilang imbakan ng mga relief supply at iba pang kagamitan.

Ang proyekto na sinimulan noong Mayo 11, ay bahagi ng Humanitarian Civic Assistance activities sa ilalim ng β€œSalaknib” 2024 Joint exercise ng Philippine at US Army. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
