Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang P6.352 trillion na proposed National Expenditure Program (NEP) para sa 2025.

Alinsunod sa direktiba at policy guidance ng Pangulo, prayoridad pa rin ang mga programa na titiyak sa food security, social protection, healthcare, housing, disaster resilience, infrastructure, digital connectivity, at energization.

Sa ilalim ng 2025 NEP, ang pinakamalaki pa rin na paglalaan ng pondo ay ang education sector, na kinabibilangan ng Department of Educationa, State Universities and Colleges, Commission on Higher Education, at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Kabilang rin sa mabibigyan ng malaking budget ang Department of Public Works and Highways, sektor ng kalusugan (kabilang na ang PhilHealth), Department of the Interior and Local Government, at Department of National Defense.

Kabilang rin sa top priority ang Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Transportation, at ang judiciary.

Ayon sa Palasyo, ang expenditure program na ito ay susuporta sa key pillars Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 ng Marcos Administration. | ulat ni Racquel Bayan
