Laban kontra malnutrisyon, mas pinalakas ng Muntinlupa LGU

Dahil sa nais na maiiwas ang mga residente nito at malabanan ang malnutrisyon ay tinuruan ng Muntinlupa Local Government Unit (LGU) ang mga nasasakupan nito, kung paano malalaman kung malnourished ang isang tao.

Bilang tugon sa kampanya na #ZeroMalnutrition ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, pinangunahan ng Muntinlupa City Nutrition Committee ang pagbibigay ng pagsasanay sa mga community leader at mga magulang, para matukoy ang mga malnourished na indibidwal.

Ayon sa LGU, gamit lang ang Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) tape, madaling matutukoy ang nutritional status ng isang tao partikular na ng bata at pregnant women.

Base naman sa ilang pag-aaral, ang normal na sukat ng mid upper arm circumference ay 23 cm sa mga lalake habang 22 naman sa mga babae. | ulat ni Lorenz Tanjoco
