PNP, nakapagtala ng 152 POGO related cases mula Hulyo 2016 hanggang ngayong taon

Kabuuang 152 POGO related cases ang naitala ng Philippine National Police (PNP) mula July 2016 hanggang July 31, 2024.

Sa pagdinig ng Quad Comm, ibinahagi ng pambansang pulisya na pinakamarami sa kasong ito ang kidnap for ransom na may 43 insidente, paglabag sa anti trafficking of person at kidnapping and serious illegal detention na may tig-18.

May naitala ring robbery, qualified theft, estafa at swindling, at financial scam.

Sa panig naman ng Philippine Statistics Authority, kinumpirma nila na nasa 1,733 na ang mga nadiskubreng pinekeng birth certificate ng mga foreign national.

Nito lang July 11 2024, natuklasan ng NBI ang nasa 200 fictitious birth certificates na pawang mga Chinese national na nakuha mula sa Local Civil Registry ng Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur.

Nasundan ito ng pagkakatuklas sa dagdag pang 1,000 pinekeng birth certificate noong July 16. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
