Pinaiigting na ng Quezon City Government ang monitoring sa sakit na Mpox o Monkeypox.

Kasunod ito ng ulat ng Department of Health (DOH) na may isa nang kaso ng Mpox sa Pilipinas.

Ayon sa QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, ang Mpox ay isang nakakahawang sakit na isang uri ng Ortho poxvirus.

Karamihan sa mga nagkakasakit nito ay gumagaling din, ngunit may ilan ay nagiging malubha.

Ayon sa CESU, kailangan manatiling updated ang publiko tungkol sa panganib ng Mpox sa komunidad.

Dapat ding malaman ng mga ito ang mga sintomas, at regular na suriin ang sarili para sa mga sintomas.

Nauna nang idineklara ng World Health Organization na isa nang Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) ang nasabing sakit. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
