Minobilisa ng Philippine Army ang mga disaster response task unit (DRTU) ng 303rd Infantry “Brown Eagle” Brigade ng 3rd Infantry Division, at Army Reservists, bilang paghahanda sa posibleng banta ng aktibidad ng Mt. Kanlaon at bagyong “Bebinca” sa Negros Island.

Ayon kay Phil. Army Spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala, ngayon pa lang ay naka-standby na ang mga DRTU ng 62nd Infantry Battalion, 79th Infantry Battalion, at 94th Infantry Battalion, kasama ang reservists mula sa 605th Community Defense Center (CDC) ng Reserve Command.

Tiniyak ng pamunuan ng Phil. Army ang kahandaan ng mga nabanggit na unit na naka-base sa Negros Island, na agarang rumesponde sa mga bulnerableng komunidad na mangangailangan ng tulong.

Ito ay sa gitna ng pananatili ng Mount Kanlaon sa Alert Level 2, at posibleng pagpapalakas ng Habagat sa epekto ng bagyong “Bebinca”. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
