Kumilos na rin ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa paghahanap kay dating Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, matapos ipa-contempt ng Quad Committee ng Kamara.
Matatandaan na pina-contempt ng komite si Roque dahil sa hindi pagsusumite ng ipina-subpoena na mga dokumento na may kaugnayan sa imbestigasyon ng iligal na POGO.
Ayon kay House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, naisilbi na ang Contempt Order sa law firm ni Roque ngunit wala siya doon.
“It was already served sa law firm niya, pero wala siya, cannot be located. So in-inform na rin ‘yung mga law enforcement agencies to look for him and serve order,” sabi ni Velasco.
Kinumpirma ito ni Quad Committee Co-Chair Dan Fernandez.
Aniya pinapunta na ang PNP sa Antel Corporation Centre sa Makati City na huling lokasyon na natukoy kung nasaan si Roque, pero hindi ito matunton.
“The PNP is now fully engaged in the manhunt for Atty. Harry Roque, and we are coordinating closely with the National Capital Region Police Office and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to ensure his swift apprehension. No one is above the law, and we will not tolerate anyone defying the authority of Congress or evading accountability,” giit ni Fernandez.
