Sasakyang pandagat ng BFAR, sinadyang banggain ng barko ng Chinese Maritime Militia sa Pagasa Island

Kinumpirma ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na isa na namang insidente ng pagbangga ng barko ng Chinese Maritime Militia sa sasakyang pandagat ng Pilipinas.

Sa isang pahayag, iniulat ng BFAR na naganap ang insidente noong October 11 habang nagsasagawa ng routine maritime patrol ang BRP Datu Cabaylo at BRP Datu Sanday.

Ayon sa BFAR, binuntutan at sinubukang harangan ng barkong CMM 00108 ang BRP Datu Cabaylo.

At habang dahan-dahang papalapit ang BRP Datu Cabaylo (MMOV 3001) sa Pag-asa (Sandy Cay) ay ginitgit na ito ng Chinese vessel.

Ayon sa BFAR, nagtamo ng minor dents ang kanilang sasakyang pandagat partikular sa starboard bow nito.

Sa kabila naman ng insidente, nakumpleto pa rin ng BFAR vessels ang kanilang maritime patrol at ligtas na nakadaong sa Pag-asa Sheltered Port.
