DOLE, PEZA lumagda sa isang kasunduan para sa data sharing ng foreign employment sa mga ecozone

Nilagdaan ng Department of Labor and Employment o DOLE at Philippine Economic Zone Authority o PEZA ang isang kasunduan para sa data sharing ng mga dayuhang manggagawa sa mga economic zone sa bansa.

Layon ng nasabing agreement na gawing mas mabilis at epektibo ang proseso ng employment permits at PEZA visas, bilang bahagi ng ‘green lane initiative’ ng gobyerno.

Ayon kay DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, layunin ng kasunduan na tiyaking patas ang labor standards at maprotektahan ang karapatan ng mga manggagawang Pilipino.

Sinabi rin ni PEZA Director General Tereso Panga na ito’y bahagi ng Philippine Labor and Employment Plan 2023-2028, na inaasahang magbibigay ng daan-daang libong trabaho, taon-taon.

Ang kasunduan ay nagtatakda ng maayos na pagbabahagi ng datos, kabilang ang mga detalye ng foreign nationals na may employment permits o visas, upang mapabuti ang proseso ng beripikasyon at regulasyon.
