Implementasyon ng Anti-Corruption Month Law, pinapa-assess ng isang mambabatas

Naghain ng resolusyon si CIBAC Party-List Rep. Bro. Eddie Villanueva para magsagawa ng assessment sa implementasyon ng Anti-Corruption Month Law.

Sa House Resolution 2114, inaatasan ang angkop na komite na magsagawa ng inquiry In Aid of Legislation sa pagtalima ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno, GOCCs, LGUs, at private sector employers sa Anti-Corruption Month Law.

Batay sa batas na isinulong ni Villanueva noong 15th congress, inaatasan ang lahat ng ahensya na magsagawa ng mga aktibidad para mabuksan ang kamalayan ng publiko tungkol sa negatibong epekto ng korapsyon.

Aniya, kailangan matukoy kung epektibo ba ang mga anti-corruption activities at tukuyin ang mga kakulangan para agad maisaayos at mapalakas ang anti-corruption campaign ng pamahalaan.

“Mahigit isang dekada na po mula nang maisabatas ang Anti-Corruption Month, at nais nating alamin kung ito ba ay nasusunod at kung gaano kabisa ang mga isinasagawang aktibidad kontra katiwalian. Kailangang tiyakin na ang layunin ng batas ay natutupad upang maitaguyod ang katapatan at pananagutan sa ating lipunan,” sabi ni Villanueva.

Paalala niya na kung nais nating gawing kultura ang integridad at accountability, dapat nating tiyakin na ang bawat aktibidad tuwing Anti-Corruption Month ay hindi lamang palamuti kundi tunay na nakakaapekto sa pananaw at ugali ng ating mga kababayan. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
