Umabot na sa 250 indibidwal ang bilang ng mga naaresto sa pagpapatupad Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban.

Sa pulong balitaan sa Camp Crame, sinabi ni PNP Public Information Office Chief Police Colonel Randulf Tuaño, na nakumpiska ng PNP ang 255 armas.

Sa bilang na ito, 71 ang nakumpisakang pistol, 115 ang revolver, anim ang shot gun, anim pampasabog, tig-isang class A at rifle, at 55 iba pang klase ng armas.

Pinakamarami ang nakumpiskang armas sa National Capital Region kung saan 67 na armas ang nakumpiska, sinundan ito ng Region 3 na mayroong 64, at Region 7 na 31.

Ayon kay PCol. Tuaño, pinapayagan lamang na makapagdala ng baril ang mga nakakuha ng permiso mula sa Comelec.
