Impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, tiyak na tatawid ng 20th Congress

Sigurado si Senate President Chiz Escudero na tatawid sa susunod na kongreso o sa 20th Congress ang impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ayon kay Escudero, marami pang prosesong pagdadaanan bago ganap na masimulan ang Impeachment trial at hindi sapat ang panahon ng kasalukuyang 19th Congress para dito.

Sakali mang masimulan ang proseso sa June 2 ay hanggang June 30 na lang ang termino ng mga senador ng 19th congress.

Nilinaw rin ng Senate President na hindi rin naman agad masisimulan ang paglilitis sa June 2 dahil may mga kailangan pang gawin gaya ng pag-uupdate ng impeachment rules.

Matapos nito ay bibigyan pa ng panahon ang kampo ng pangalawang pangulo upang sumagot sa mga paratang at sasagot pang muli ang prosecution team mula sa kamara.

Hindi rin naman aniya mamamatay ang impeachment pagkatapos ng 19th congress dahil may labindalawang senador pang maiiwan. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
