IRR ng Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act, sinelyuhan na ng DepEd

Nilagdaan na ni Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) ng Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act.

Sa ilalim ng IRR na ito, gagawing prayoridad ng DepEd ang pagtatayo ng mga Mental Health and Well-Being Office sa mga nasa high-burden areas para magbigay suporta sa mga estudyante at lumikha ng katanggap-tanggap na kapaligiran para sa kanila.

Sinabi pa ng kalihim na sa pamamagitan din ng batas na ito, titiyakin din ng DepEd na may malalapitan ang bawat mag-aaral at guro sa oras ng pangangailangan

Kasabay nito, nakikipag-ugnayan na rin ang DepEd sa 2nd Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM2) para sa pagrepaso ng Anti-Bullying Act of 2023 upang mas makatugon ito sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon.

Dahil dito, paiigtingin ang Anti-Bullying at Rights-Based Education sa curriculum at isasama rin ang Anti-Bullying Policy gayundin  ang Code of Conduct sa learners manual.  | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
