Paggawad sa hiling na political asylum ni Atty. Harry Roque, nasa kamay na ng gobyerno ng Netherlands

Sinabi ni Senate President Chiz Escudero na desisyon na ng gobyerno ng Netherlands kung aaprubahan ang hiling na political asylum doon ni Atty. Harry Roque.

Ayon kay Escudero, prerogative ni Roque ang humiling ng political asylum at nasa kamay na ng Netherlands kung igagawad ito.

Matatandaang nahaharap si Roque sa kasong human trafficking sa Department of Justice (DOJ) at may warrant of arrest rin laban sa kanya ang Kamara.

Ilang buwan nang pinaghahanap ng mga otoridad si Roque at lumantad nga ito ngayon sa The Hague, matapos arestuhin at dalhin doon ng International Criminal Court (ICC) si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Sinabi naman ni Escudero, na ang DOJ ang mas nakakaalam kung pwede bang gamitin ang warrant of arrest ng Kamara para ipaaresto sa Interpol si Roque. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
