Dinudokumento ng Philippine National Police Anti Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) ang mga ipinapakalat na mga fake news sa social media.

Ito’y may kaugnayan sa usapin ng pag-aresto kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ngayon ay nasa International Criminal Court (ICC) na para dinggin ang kasong crimes against humanity na isinampa laban sa kaniya.

Ayon kay Police Regional Office 3 Director at Concurrent PNP Spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, tukoy na aniya nila ang mga nagpapakalat ng fake news at disinformation.

Panawagan lang ng PNP sa Publiko, huwag na sanang sakyan ang usapin lalo na sa pansariling interes dahil sa halip na kumalma ang publiko ay lalo pang pinalalala ang sitwasyon.

Muling iginiit ni Fajardo, na ang pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest sa dating Pangulo ay bahagi ng kanilang mandato at bilang pagtalima na rin sa kahilingan ng Interpol, na matagal na nilang katuwang sa pagpapatupad ng batas. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
