The Philippine National Railways (PNR) will resume its Legazpi-Naga and vice versa train services on Sunday, March 16, 2025, after its inspection train went off track when it was hit by a tanker truck along Paloyon Crossing in Nabua, Camarines Sur on Saturday.

According to the PNR, the following routes will be operational starting Sunday:
- Legazpi-Naga 4:49 AM
- Naga-Legazpi 5:30 PM
The PNR said the Legazpi to Naga route and vice versa must be opened immediately due to its connectivity demand.
In the meantime, operations of the following routes will continue:
- Calamba to Lucena 05:45 PM
- Naga to Sipocot 03:30 PM
- Sipocot to Naga 05:00 PM
The PNR said its inspection train was clearing the tracks for obstruction to give way to the ensuing passenger train en route to Legazpi. The affected inspection train has already been rerailed.

The driver of the tanker truck was immediately brought to the Bicol Medical Center for treatment and is currently in stable condition. On the other hand, the PNR train operator was left unhurt.
Traffic along the affected area is normal after the rerouting scheme has been implemented.

Motorists and even pedestrians are urged to practice the Stop, Look, and Listen safety principle to avoid such incidents in the future.
