Nanawagan si House Secretary General Reginald Velasco sa mga otoridad na agad imbestigahan at panagutin ang indibidwal na sangkot sa viral video na gumamit ng pekeng protocol plate na numero “8”.
Sa naturang viral video sakay ng sasakayn na may no. 8 na plaka ang indibidwal na nag amok at nagbanta pa sa nakaalitan na babarilin ito.
Una nang nilinaw ni Velasco na peke ang naturang protocol plate na gamit ng indibidwal.
“The House of Representatives strongly condemns the misuse of the special protocol plate number “8” by the owner or driver of a vehicle recently involved in a traffic altercation, as seen in a viral video circulating online. From watching the viral video, it would seem that the protocol plate is fake. It does not seem to have the security features of an original “8” protocol plate,” sabi ni Velasco.
Paalala niya na isang krimen ang paggamit sa pekeng protocol plate at may karampatamg parusa.
“We urge the appropriate authorities to immediately investigate and hold accountable the individual in the video. Using a fake special plate number, it that is indeed the case, is illegal and constitutes a punishable offense under existing laws.” dagdag pa niya.
Giit pa niya, nakakasira ito sa imahe at integridad ng institusyon.
Paghimok naman niya sa publiko na agad isumbong ang makikitang gumagamit ng otso na plaka.
“It is a serious matter that undermines the integrity of official markings and erodes public trust.The special protocol plate “8” is issued exclusively for official use by sitting members of the House of Representatives. Any attempt to impersonate or abuse this privilege is a direct affront to the institution and the law.” sabi pa ng opisyal.
Sabi naman ni House Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, walang protocol plate na inisyu sa kanila ngayong 19th congress kaya’t malamang ay peke ito.
“Ewan ko kung nila nakuha, baka nag papagawa sila. Kaya pakiusap ko hindi naman po opisyal, at kung kayo po ay nasa Congress, iwasan po natin kasi naaabuso,” ani Tulfo.
Paalala naman ng mambabatas sa mfa gumagawa ng pekeng plaka na labag ito sa batas at maaari sila arestuhin.
“Yung mga gumagawa naman ng mga peke, nagkakabit niyan, may kaso ho yan. Dapat talaga kasuhan ng mga pulis…at saka hanapin, may nagbebenta diyan sa Banawe,” sabi pa ni Tulfo. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
