Tiniyak ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na handa pa rin silang maglaan ng mga tauhan para sa seguridad ng Pangalawang Pangulo.

Ito ay kahit pa sumasailalim sa re-organization ang Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Ayon kay PNP Spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo, hindi binawi o inalis ng PNP ang 25 pulis na naka-assign sa VPSPG. Sa katunayan, patuloy pa rin umano ang pagre-report ng mga ito sa Kampo Aguinaldo, bagamat aminado si Fajardo na hindi lubos na nagagamit ang kanilang mga tauhan o “underutilized” ang mga ito.

Ginawa ni Fajardo ang pahayag bago pa man makabalik sa bansa si Vice President Sara Duterte mula sa ilang linggong pananatili sa The Hague, Netherlands, upang asikasuhin ang kaso ng kanyang amang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
