Ayon kay Communications Secretary Cheloy Velicaria Garafil, ang appointment kay Atty. Gadon ay sumasalimin lamang sa commitment ng pamahalan na tugunan ang isa sa mga hamong kinahaharap ng bansa.

Sabi ng kalihim, mahigpit ang gagawing koordnasyon ni Atty. Gadon sa mga ahenysa ng pamahalaan, non-government organizations (NGOs), at iba pang stakeholders, upang bumalangkas at mag-implementa ng komprehensibong programa na tutugon sa root cause ng kahirapan sa bansa.
Ayon sa kalihim, ang malawak na karanasan ni Gadon bilang corporate executive at legal counsel sa iba’t ibang sektor, tulad ng manufacturing, information technology, realty development, healthcare, resorts and hotels, construction, and trading, ay makakaambag ng malaki sa pagbalangkas ng mga inobasyon at mga istratehiyang kakailanganin pantugon sa kahirapan sa bansa.
