Malugod na tinanggap ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang “partnership” ng 10 local districts ng Rotary International sa militar at PNP sa iba’t ibang socio-civic projects sa bansa.
Ayon kay AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Lt. Col. Enrico Ileto, nakatuon ang mga proyekto sa pitong “areas of focus” ng Rotary.
Kabilang dito ang Peace Building and Conflict Prevention, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Community Livelihood and Economic Development at Environment.
Bilang pagsulong ng “partnership” na ito, magsasagawa ng National Bloodletting Activity sa susunod na buwan at mga National Environmental Project sa Setyembre.
Sinabi ni Ileto na ang “partnership” ng AFP at PNP sa Rotary International ay makakatulong sa pagkamit ng “shared mission” na mapangalagaan ang kapayapaan at seguridad ng bansa. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
