Dito mismo sa Pilipinas isasagawa ang pagpapatuloy ng pag-uusap ng ASEAN countries at China sa binubuong Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.

Ito ang ibinahagi ni Foreign Affairs Sec. Enrique Manalo sa Committee on Appropriations nang matanong ni KABATAAN party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel kung may hakbang ba ang pamahalaan na makipag-usap at magkaroon ng kooperasyon sa mga claimant countries sa South China Sea.

Ani Manalo, walang pormal na pakikipag-usap ang Pilipinas sa claimant countries, kaya kung hindi man informal talks, ay idinadaan ito sa bilateral na pag-uusap.

Magkagayunman, isa aniyang venue para dito ay ang pulong ng ana gagawin para sa isinusulong na COC.

Sa August 22 hanggang 24 aniya ito idaraos sa Maynila.

2022 nang simulan ng China, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam at Pilipinas ang diskusyon sa pagbuo ng COC na tutugon sa isyu ng pag-aagawan ng teritoryo sa naturang katubigan.| ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
