51 insidente ng karahasan na ang naitala ng Philippine National Police, isang buwan bago idaos ang Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief Police Col. Jean Fajardo, sa bilang na ito, 8 ang suspected Election Related Incidents (ERI), 7 ang validated Election Related Incidents at 36 ang na-validate na walang kaugnayan sa eleksyon.

Samantala, umabot na sa 1,063 indibidwal ang naaresto ng PNP sa paglabag sa nationwide gunban na umiiral sa loob ng election period, kung saan 1,000 sa mga ito ang sibilyan.

Umabot naman sa 654 firearms ang nakumpiska ng PNP; habang 1,288 baril ang nai-deposit sa police stations para sa safekeeping at 1,156 na mga baril naman ang isinuko hanggang ngayong araw. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
