Bicol solon, positibong maisasakatuparan ang PNR-Bicol kahit binitiwan ng Pilipinas ang China bilang ‘funding source’

Naniniwala si Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Brian Yamsuan na matutuloy pa rin ang pagbuhay sa PNR- Bicol Express rail line sa ilalim ng Marcos Jr. administration.

Ito ay kahit pa inanunsyo na ng DOTr na binitawan na ng Pilipinas ang China bilang ‘funding source’ para sa ilang proyekto kasama ang Bicol Express, Subic-Clark Railway Project (SCRP) at ang unang phase ng Min­danao Railway Project (MRP).

Ayon kay Yamsuan, isa sa patotoo na pursigido ang pamahalaan na ituloy ang proyekto ay ang groundbreaking ng resettlement site para sa mga residente ng Laguna at Quezon na maaapektuhan ng naturang rail project.

“President Marcos is not only bent on reviving and modernizing the Bicol Express as he had promised Bicolanos. He is also making sure that affected residents would not be neglected by ensuring that they get to resettle in livable communities. This is the strongest indicator that the project will push through,” sabi ni Yamsuan.

Naniniwala rin ang kongresista na makabubuti pa sa Pilipinas na binitiwan ang China dahil makakahanap pa ang bansa ng iba pang ‘funding source’ na may mas cost-effective financing package o kaya’y pumasok sa Public Private Partnership katuwang ang Asian Development Bank (ADB) o Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
