PNP, handang magbigay ng seguridad kay dating Rep. Teves pagbalik sa bansa

Tiniyak ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. na handa ang PNP na magbigay ng seguridad kay dating Rep. Arnulfo Teves Jr. sa oras na maibalik na ito sa Pilipinas.

Ito’y matapos arestuhin ng mga awtoridad sa bisa ng Interpol Red Notice si Teves nitong Huwebes sa Dili, East Timor sa tulong ng International Police (Interpol)-National Central Bureau (NCB) – Dili, at East Timorese Police.

Sa pulong balitaan sa Camp Crame, sinabi ni Gen. Acorda na hinihintay lang ng PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) ang resulta ng koordinasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) kaugnay ng extradition ni Teves.

Ayon kay Gen. Acorda, nakahanda ang PNP Custodial Center pero ang korte ang magdedesisyon kung saan ikukulong si Teves.

Si Teves, ay nahaharap sa kasong multiple murder kaugnay ng pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at siyam na iba pa noong Marso 2023, at tatlo pang indibidwal noong 2019. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
