Nagsimula na ang bilateral exercise sa pagitan ng Philippine Marine Corps at United States Marines sa Central Mindanao Region na bahagi ng Archipelagic Coastal Defense Continuum o ACDC 24.3.
Ayon kay 1st Marine Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Eric Macaambac, tampok sa ACDC 24.3 ang serye ng Subject Matter Exchange Exercises (SMEE) at Combined Field Training Exercises (FTX) na nakatutok sa Close Quarter Combat, Precision Firing, at Jungle Operations kabilang ang Jungle Exercise Survival Training (JEST) at Final Exercise.
Ang pagsasanay na tatagal hanggang Mayo 29 ay nilalahukan ng mga tropa ng Philippine Marine Corps, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment Unit, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) ng United States Marine Corps, 64th Division Reconnaissance Company ng Philippine Army, at ang Regional Mobile Force Battalion-14 ng Philippine National Police.
Sinabi ni Macaambac, magsisilbing plataporma ang pagsasanay upang mapalakas pa ang interoperability at matagal nang ugnayan sa pagitan ng dalawang hukbo alinsunod sa Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC). | ulat ni Leo Sarne
