Arestado ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation Group (CIDG) si dating Executive Director ng Procurement Service-Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) Atty. Lloyd Christopher Lao sa Ecoland, Davao kahapon.
Sa ulat ni CIDG Director Police Major General Leo Francisco kay PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil, si Lao ay inaresto sa bisa ng warrant na inisyu noong September 12 ng First Division ng Sandiganbayan sa Quezon City.
Ito’y dahil sa paglabag sa Section 3 (e) ng Republic Act 3019 o Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
Ang kaso ay kaugnay ng paglipat ng Department of Health (DOH) ng ₱41-bilyong piso sa PS-DBM noong 2020 para pangbili ng medical supplies sa panahon ng pandemya, kung saan siningil umano ng 4% “service fee” ang DOH.
Si Lao ay dinala sa CIDG Regional Field Unit 11 para sa dokumentasyon at disposisyon. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
