NFA Central Luzon, iniimbestigahan na ang napaulat na umano’y bulok na bigas na natanggap ng ilang guro

Sinimulan nang magsiyasat ng National Food Authority (NFA) sa inireklamong bulok at hindi na makain na NFA rice na natanggap ng ilang pampublikong guro.

Matatandaang nag-ugat ito sa pahayag ni House Deputy Minority leader at ACT Teachers party-list Representative France Castro na nakatanggap umano ng reklamo mula sa ilang mga guro sa Nueva Ecija, Mindoro, Bacolod City at Zamboanga del Norte na ang nakuhang rice allowance ay manilaw-nilaw na, may amoy, at may iba na binubukbok na rin.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng NFA Region 3 na bineberipika na nito ang impormasyon at nagsagawa na rin ng serye ng laboratory test sa mga bigas na mula sa One-time grant of Rice Assistance (OTRA) ng Department of Education (DepEd).

Sa kasalukuyan, wala pa raw natatanggap ang NFA na anumang negatibong reaksyon mula sa mga nakapanayam nitong tumanggap ng bigas.

Katunayan, wala pa ring pormal na reklamong natatanggap ang NFA Central Luzon ukol dito.

Tiniyak rin ng NFA na lahat ng mga naisyung bigas ay nasa magandang kondisyon at ligtas para ikonsumo ng publiko.

Mahigpit din aniyang dumaan sa quality assurance ang mga bigas bago ito ipinamahagi.

Lahat din ng NFA rice ay pasok sa specifications ng well-milled quality rice bagamat humihingi ito ng pangunawa sa publiko kung may amoy ang ilang bigas na epekto lang ng pagkakaimbak nito sa warehouse.

Kung sakali namang may makumpirmang benepisyaryo na nakatanggap ng hindi magandang kalidad ng NFA rice, handa naman ang NFA Region 3 na palitan ito.  | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
