Umaapela ang pamahalaan sa mga Pilipino na magkaisa sa pagkondena sa mga pangha-harass ng China sa mga barko at mangingisda ng Pilipinas sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Pahayag ito ni Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, kasunod ng pagbangga ng China sa Unaiza May 2 at PGC vessel sa WPS.
Ayon sa kalihim, sinasadya ng China na baluktutin ang katotohanan ng insidente.
“We called for this press conference, to give you a clear and factual narrative of what transpired. The Chinese government is deliberately obfuscating the truth. The Philippine Navy and the Philippine Coast Guard are here to give you an undistorted narration of the illegal acts of the Chinese Vessels.” —Secretary Teodoro.
Tinutuligsa rin aniya ng gobyerno ang mga claim ng China na isinusulong nila ang kapayapaan at pagiging friendly, gayung agresibo naman ang kanilang mga aksyon sa loob ng teritoryo ng Pilipinas, na wala dapat hurisdiksyon ang China.
