Sampung milyong pisong pabuya ang ibinigay ni Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co sa Philippine National Police (PNP) matapos tuluyang mabuwag ang Concepcion Criminal Group.
Enero nang ma-nutralisa ng operatiba ng pambansang pulisya si Gilbert Saysay Concepcion na siyang lider ng grupo, kasama ang isa pang miyembro nito na si Laeco Josie Quite Saysay sa isang enkgwentro noong Enero 24 sa Barangay San Martin De Porres, Parañaque City.
Ipinapakita lamang din nito ang kakayahan ng mga pulis sa pagsawata sa organized crime networks at sa pagprotekta sa mamamayan.
Sangkot ang Concepcion Criminal Group sa iba’t ibang krimen gaya ng assassination, extortion, at illegal arms trade.
Ani Co, matagal na aniyang naghahasik ng takot ang naturang grupo sa Bicol at karatig lugar.
“The dismantling of the Concepcion Criminal Group signifies a monumental win for the PNP and the broader quest for peace and order in the entire country. Ang ibinigay nating reward ay bilang pagkilala sa kabayanihan ng mga pulis na handang ialay ang kanilang buhay para lamang siguraduhin ang kaligtasan ng taumbayan. Our police officers’ bravery and sacrifices, who confront dangers to protect us, are deeply appreciated,” sabi ni Co.
