Napaulat na iligal na pagbebenta ng human organs, pinaiimbestigahan sa Kamara

Agad naghain si AGRI Party-list Representative Wilbert Lee ng resolusyon para imbestigahan ng Kamara ang pagkakasangkot ng mga healthcare worker sa pagbebenta ng human organs.

Sa kaniyang House Resolution 180, partikular na pinasisisyasat ang iligal na bentahan ng kidney o bato at iba pang internal organ.

Tahasan aniya itong paglabag sa “Organ Donation Act of 1991” at “Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012”.

Sabi ng mambabatas, sinasamantala ng mga ganitong modus ang mahihirap nating kababayan lalo na ang mga gipit o ‘kapit sa patalim’ at desperado nang kumita para may pantustos sa pangangailangan ng pamilya.

Ngunit pinaka nakakabahala aniya dito ay mismong mga doktor at nurse ang sangkot dito.

Nito lang July 17, tatlong indibidwal ang naaresto ng NBI sa San Jose del Monte Bulacan na sangkot umano sa organ trafficking syndicate.

Itinuro naman nila ang isang nurse ng National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI) na lider ng naturang illegal organ trade.

Tinukoy din mambabtas, na maging sa social media gaya ng Facebook ay may mga nagaganap ding bentahan ng lamang-loob ng tao.
