Pilipinas panalo sa prestihiyosong ‘Best Ports of Call 2024 Award’

Mas tumindi ang estado ng Pilipinas bilang isang primyadong cruise tourism destination mtapos nitong mapanalunan ang prestigious ‘Best Ports of Call 2024 Award’ sa 10th Asia Cruise Awards, na ginanap sa Asia Cruise Forum sa Jeju Island, Korea.

Ayon kay Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, ang nasabing award ay nagpapakita lang sa efforts ng cruise tourism stakeholders para muling buhayin ang cruise industry sa bansa matapos ang pandemya.

Paliwanag ni Frasco, na sa ilalim ng National Tourism Development Plan (NTDP) 2023-2028 na aprubado ni President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ang Department of Tourism ay kinikilala ang Cruise Tourism bilang isa sa mga strategic product na maaaring makakuha ng malalaking market.
