NBI, iginiit na walang nangyaring unlawful detention kina Guo at Ong

Hinamon ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago ang mga abogado nina Sheila Guo at Cassandra Li Ong na sampahan sila ng arbitrary detention case.

Ito ay kung sa paniwala nilang may nalabag ang NBI sa mahigit tatlong araw na pananatili nina Guo at Ong sa detention facility mula nang makabalik ng Pilipinas galing ng Indonesia.

Sinabi ni Santiago, na walang unlawful detention sa dalawa dahil mula pa noong araw ng Biyernes hanggang ngayong Lunes ay holiday.

May mga proseso aniyang ginagawa ang NBI gaya ng pagsasaayos ng mga dokumento at pagsampa ng hiwalay na kaso kina Guo at Ong.

Si Ong ay pormal nang nai-turn over ng NBI sa Kamara habang sa Senado naman si Sheila Guo na kapatid ng na-dismiss na Mayor ng Bamban Tarlac na si Alice Guo. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
