Seguridad sa Shariff Aguak sa Maguindanao at iba pang lugar, paiigtingin ng PNP

Matapos ang insidente ng karahasan kasunod ng paghahain ng Certificate of Candidacy (COC) kahapon, ipinag-utos ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil ang pagpapalakas ng presensya ng pulisya sa Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao at iba pang lugar.

Ito ang inihayag ni PNP Spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo sa pulong balitaan sa Camp Crame.

Ayon kay PBGen Fajardo, nagpadala na rin ng karagdagang puwersa ang Armed Forces of the Philippines sa Shariff Aguak.

Iniimbestigahan din aniya ng PNP kung nagkaroon ng “failure of intelligence” na nauwi sa pamamaril at pagkasawi ng isang indibidwal at pagkasugat ng limang iba pa.

Bukod sa Shariff Aguak, sinabi ni Fajardo na ipinag-utos din ni PGen Marbil ang pagdami ng mga unannounced checkpoint at border control sa mga lugar na may matinding political rivalry.

Inaasahan kasi, na mas titindi ang kompetisyon sa pagitan ng mga tagasuporta ng mga politiko ngayong tapos na ang COC filing. | ulat ni Diane Lear
